- 36 Oreo chocolate sandwich cookies (1 standard package / 13.30 oz. / 376 g)
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese or Neufchatel cheese (not spread), softened
- 1 cup (120 g) cacao or cocoa powder for coating

How to Make Cacao Oreo Truffles
Prepare the Oreo Base: Place the whole crème-filled Oreo chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor. Pulse until fine crumbs form.
Mix the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese. Use a spoon or your hands to mix until fully incorporated into a dough-like consistency. Optional: Add 2 tbsp (30 g) of cacao powder for a more intense chocolate flavor.
Tip: Texture Matters: Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing and a smooth texture.


Shape the Truffles: Scoop small portions of the mixture, about 1 tablespoon (20 grams) each and roll them into balls. If the mixture feels too sticky, add 1–2 tbsp (15 g) of extra Oreo crumbs or refrigerate briefly before shaping. Place the balls on a baking sheet, optionally lined with parchment paper.
