How To Make Almond Milk
Soak Almonds: Add raw almonds to a jar, and cover them with 1 ½ cups of filtered water, ensuring the nuts are fully submerged. Allow them to soak overnight (8-12 hours) in the refrigerator for easier blending.
Note: Soak no more than 24 hours. Refrigerate almonds while soaking to prevent bacterial growth and maintain freshness.
Drain and Rinse: Once soaked, drain and rinse almonds under cool water.
Optionally, you can remove the skins from almonds. This results in creamier textured milk enhances the taste, and creates silky foam, making it perfect for lattes.

Blend Almonds: Add soaked almonds to blender. Pour 3-4 cups of cold, filtered water for your desired creaminess.
Note: To achieve a thicker and creamier texture, use 3 cups of water. For a thinner consistency, opt for 4 cups of water.
Blend until Smooth: Blend for about 2 minutes starting over low speed and gradually increasing to high until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
Flavors: You can enhance the flavor with a sweetener (beginning with a small amount and adjusting to taste), a splash of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.

Strain Almond Milk: Set nut milk bag, strainer, or cheesecloth over bowl/jug. Pour blended mixture through to separate liquid from pulp.
Squeeze and Extract: With a nut milk bag or cheesecloth, gently squeeze/press to extract all the liquid. For the strainer, use the back of the spoon.
