  • Base: Ketchup makes a perfect base because it’s thick and flavorful.
  • Spice it Up: A pinch of a spicy ingredient adds depth and complexity to the overall taste.
  • Flavor: Worcestershire sauce and oyster sauce contribute rich umami flavors.
  • Taste: BBQ sauce often develops even better flavor when allowed to sit for a day or two.
  • Let it Rest: Allow your sauce to chill and rest before using it.

Storage & Serving

Make-Ahead: You can make this BBQ sauce in advance and allow it to rest for a day or two. This extra time allows the flavors to blend, making a richer and even tastier sauce.

Storage: Store prepared BBQ sauce in an airtight container, or mason jar, label and date and keep it in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Serving: Always use clean utensils when scooping out the BBQ sauce. Give it a good stir before using.

Please note that before using any stored BBQ sauce, check for any signs of spoilage. If you notice an off smell or mold growth, it’s best to discard it.
